We are delighted to welcome Steve Trethewey to Crystal Electronics & Crystal EV as Head of Business Development.

Steve will bring with him a lifetime of experience working in Sales and Business Development roles.

After leaving school he completed a 5 Year engineering apprenticeship and in 1986 changed direction, working in the Financial Services Sector. He built his own Independent Financial Services Company, providing advice to private and commercial clients for over 20 years. 

He later carried out consultancy projects for investment funds before taking technical sales positions within the Communications and Telecoms industry.

Many of you will know Steve as National Sales Manager for ChargePoint Services – (CPS – GeniePoint Platform) and following Engie’s acquisition of CPS as National Sales Manager at Engie EV Solutions.

His EV experience working within the Private Sector for Plc’s & SME’s (Workplace charging solutions) and The Public Sector for County Councils & Local Authorities (Delivering both workplace and PAYG solutions) will transfer seamlessly to the needs of Crystals customer base.

Working with strategic partners Crystal will deploy Workplace and Public charging solutions across the UK and Northern Ireland whilst continuing to provide class leading electrical Installations, testing & maintenance packages.

Crystal Electronics & Crystal EV have sufficient work force to provide mandatory testing and installation services with scale to manage the rapid transition from fossil fuels to Electric Vehicle (EV) charging. We can strategize, plan, install, maintain, manage different payment systems including those for field-based colleagues. 

We have a 35 Year history of mobilising large teams of electrical engineers to deliver programs of work, managed by an internal team of qualified project managers and field based QS’s. We have been investing in preparing our (100 plus) team of field-based engineers and QS’s for the future exponential growth in EV.
